We have one hygiene chair opening, and we are choosing carefully. Interviews run May 26 to June 6. Position fills by June 19.
New Orchard Dentistry has served the West Bloomfield community for 26 years. Our hygienists do not cycle through. One has been with us for 13 years. Our patients grow up with us. We see them at age 5, nervous in the chair for the first time. We see them graduate, get married, and bring their own children in. That kind of continuity only happens when the people providing care are consistent and invested.
We are looking for one person ready to become that.
The chair you will run
- 60 minutes per prophy. 90 minutes for new patients.
- Full clinical scope: prophy, perio maintenance, scaling and root planing, sealants, fluoride, oral cancer screening, intraoral imaging, patient education
- Practice management system: Oryx
- This is hygiene, not implant support and not assistant work. You run your day, manage your panel, and own your recall.
- No production quotas. No accelerated columns. No arriving 30 minutes early to gear up.
Schedule
- Approximately 28 clinical hours per week
- Week A: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- Week B: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, plus alternating Saturday
- Predictable two weeks out, every time
- You leave work at work. That balance is intentional here.
Compensation and benefits
- $45 to $52 per hour based on experience

What we are looking for
- Active Michigan RDH license in good standing
- Local anesthesia and nitrous administration credentials preferred
- Comfortable running a hygiene chair independently
- Comfortable with digital imaging, intraoral scanning, and PMS-driven documentation
- New graduates considered. Clinical mentorship from Dr. Nashef and our lead hygienist.
What we expect
- High reappointment rate. Patients who book their next visit before they leave the chair.
- Accurate, complete documentation. Charts done by end of day.
- Genuine patient relationships. Patients should remember your name.
- A standard higher than the room around you.
